I am trying to produce a graph in Excel that shows the mean of a dataset theough time with "whiskers". I don't know the proper name, for thise feature, but that what's we alsways called them when creating QC charts inthe manufacturing plant where I used to work. The ide is to plot the average with another small line (or whicker) above and below the datapoint representing the upper and lower range, or maybe one or two standard deviations from the mean. The resulting chart looks like a line banded on top and bottom by "whiskers" that represent how "wide" the distribution of the data was.
I have no problem calculating and supplying to Excel all the necessary inputs for each variable (mean, upper and lower whiskers), but don;t know how to format the graph so that it looks like this.
Any ideas?
